Poésie Noire - Zillo (07-08/1991)

English translation of the review of Marianne by Sven Freuen:

Poesie Noire
"Marianne"
(Antler/SPV)
Last year Poesie Noire, who once
were to class with EBM, covered
the Sisters, Cure and others;
today they are using - as every
second Band - the rave rhythmic,
which is supposed to give their
still melancolic-dark songs a claim
of danceability.
Poesie Noire wouldn't have to curry
favour to popular trends as they
proofed years ago. But as they do
so the galmour of independece
crumbles away.
Nevertheless songs like the wavic
"Marianne" or the bombastic balladeque

"Venice" are pieces, that please
the heart through their class and
individual instrumentalisation.
